Additional Information:
Celtic Health Care is an example of a flawless installation by
West-More Roofing, made possible by the project architect's hands-on
approach and demand for nothing less than perfection when it came to
metal roofing application.
During the shop drawing phase, Linda Willhide of RSH Architects
turned to her local IMETCO Architectural Representative and his team of
manufacturer's engineers to help her ensure that all roofing seams and
soffit joints aligned perfectly to achieve the desired aesthetic
precision. In lieu of opting for an inexpensive trim assembly at the
parapet transition, she specified a vertically-installed CF-12 wall
panel with stiffening beads at four inches on center.
Additionally, special concerns over snow management at all pedestrian
areas dictated the use of snow guards. By choosing IMETCO's
non-penetrating, Kynar painted, extruded aluminum snow guards, the snow
management system became an integrated, non-invasive part of the
monolithic roof assembly. IMETCO's Engineering team also assisted with
proper placement of the snow guards by conducting load calculations and
developing installation patterns to properly manage a ground snow load
of 25 psf, as required by ASCE 7-02 guidelines.
This Celtic Healthcare project was featured in the September 2008 issue of metalmag.
