The Phase IV-VII gaming and entertainment expansion, and the Grand
Pequot Towers Hotel and Great Cedars Hotel high-rise developments made
Foxwoods Resort Casino the largest gaming operation in the western
hemisphere, providing amenitites that more than tripled the facility's
total building area created a mix of entertainment options that drew in
more than 15 million guests each year. Designers studied the history of
the Pequot tribe to incorporate traditional design elements into all
that is seen at Foxwoods, including the 312-room Great Cedars Hotel and
the 800-room Grand Pequot Towers, Foxwoods' signature building, which
remains a highly-visible symbol of the tribe's vision and pride thanks
in a large part to its vivid, custom teal painted Series 300 metal roof.
IMETCO's Series 300 system was the perfect choice for this project,
as it not only achieves the bold aesthetic vision of the tribe and its
designers, but also provides the structural and weathertight performance
that this project and region demand. Series 300 panels were fabricated
in IMETCO's plant and shipped to the job site, where they were curved
on-site. |
